| Ohi'a Lehua
Hardy native Hawaiian tree, it can grow to over 10 feet tall. Official
flower of the big Island. Able to germinate and flourish in bare lava
crevices. Early Hawaiians used the wood to carve sacred temple artifacts.
Trees have very unusual tightly spaced leaves on long branches.
